Michael J. Luzzi Esq., 42 years old passed into his eternal home Monday January 21, 2019, with his loving family surrounding him. He was born May 17, 1976 in Providence to Michael Luzzi and Dorothy (Gabriele) Luzzi. Michael was a graduate of Johnston High School 1994, University of Miami, “Sigma Chi” 1998, and Roger Williams School of Law in 2003. Michael worked as a corporate research lawyer in Boston. He participated in Cub Scouts, Football and played Accordion for five years; and won first place in competitions in New York, Connecticut and Florida. He also enjoyed playing golf while living in Miami. Michael loved to help the elderly in his neighborhood by shoveling snow and cutting their lawns for them. Those he helped loved him and praised the man he was. Although Michael was never married and had no children, the young ones flocked to him, because he would take time to play with them and gave them the attention they desired. Recently he assisted coaching a youth basketball team at the YMCA in Cranston in which they won their division. He loved spending time at family gatherings for holidays; birthdays and just plain get to-gethers. He had many friends from elementary school years and remained friends with them for over thirty-five years. They shared great times together snowmobiling, going out to eat, just hanging around and chatting, watching Patriots football games. Michael loved the N.E. Patriots, and Celtics but his one side step was he was a die-hard Yankees fan. Of course he got teased about that one! His father preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, sister Roseann, (Jimmy) Rotondo, brother Kenny (Denise) Gianquitti, two aunts, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In Lieu of Flowers a donation to the Hope Hospice Center of Providence would be appreciated. Family and friends whose lives Michael touched are invited to the Keefe Funeral Home 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln RI on Saturday January 26,2019 to reminisce, grieve, support each other and the family and of course just chat. Visitation is 10-12, with a Christian service 12-1pm.
